Why choose Dinex DiSiCHP?

A unique reaction-formed High-Porous Silicon Carbide particulate filter

DPF Substrates

The unique pore structure of the DiSiCHP ensures a low back pressure at a high particle number (PN) filtration efficiency. This is achieved by combining a low pore size of 8 – 9μm with a high porosity of 54 – 57 %. The small pores below 10μm lead to a fast buildup of a soot cake layer on the inlet surface of the filter wall and reduces deep bed filtration. This leads to the effect of a low PN emission in all soot loading conditions and driving cycles. The porosity above 54% ensures the low back pressure.

Benchmark tests against 4 competing Silicon-Carbide (SiC) technologies, shows that Dinex gen. III DiSiCHP has…

Icon Filtration

… the highest PN filtration efficiency, both loaded and unloaded

• Future-proof regulatory compliance (Euro 7, BS7, Stage VI, Tier 5 & equivalent) • Low PN emissions in every situation (Fresh state, during regeneration, and right after)

Icon Pressure

… a low back pressure level throughout all operating conditions

• Reduces fuel consumption • Increases peak power output

Icon Link

… a strong & durable design, yet low-weight & easy to regenerate

• Capable in a wide range of applications and challenging conditions • Lower weight & faster SCR heat-up

DiSiCHP Application Examples

On-Road - Light, Medium and Heavy Commercial

Application demands

  • Compliance to upcoming regulatory requirements: Lower PN emissions,& particles down to 10 nm
  • Low fuel consumption

Why Dinex DiSiCHP

  • High porosity (54%) and low pore size (8,0 μm) results in the market’s best PN filtration efficiency in all conditions.
  • Low back pressure in both loaded and unloaded state, and light-weight design.
  • Low thermal mass allows for more heat to be preserved for the SCR.
On Road

Off-Road - Construction & Agriculture

Application demands

  • Durability in harsh working conditions
  • Flexibility to endure both long periods without regeneration, and sudden peak engine power outs.

Why Dinex DiSiCHP

  • Less likely to break from thermal tension thanks to low elastic modulus (9,0 GPa).
  • High soot load capacity of up to 8,0 g/l, without affecting back pressure, thanks to thicker walls (300 μm) and higher porosity (58%).
  • Earlier and faster passive regeneration, thanks to a low thermal mass.
Off Road

Special applications - SCR-on-Filter & Large/Stationary

SCR-on-Filter

  • High porosity allows for more SCR coating to be applied, without
    significantly affecting back pressure
  • Lowers the risk of urea deposits in the substrate

Large/Stationary

  • High soot load capacity allows for longer period of efficient
    performance without regeneration.
  • Low thermal mass allows for faster heat-up to initiate regeneration.
  • Customized properties.
