The wash coat formulation was designed to ensure a high activity of the PGM and to keep the impact by hydrothermal ageing low. This means that a fairly low PGM loading can already ensure an efficient conversion of THC and CO at a light off below 150°C and a reasonable NO2 formation ensures a good CRT effect for DPF regeneration and support of the fast SCR for a high DeNOX efficiency. The low impact by thermal ageing ensures a good performance still at the end of the useful live.
